An Evolution Underway
It is said that the only constant in this world is change. If that maxim is true, you’re currently holding the perfect example. Mobile Enterprise has followed the path of change and evolved as the industry has grown and reached in new directions. Birthed as Field Force Automation in November 1999, we’ve always covered the strong core of hardware, software and wireless solutions that make mobile workers more effective while in the field.
In October 2003 we re-launched as Mobile Enterprise with new focuses on campus and professional environments, while still including the most relevant information about field service workers and field sales personnel.
Today, this one-of-a-kind magazine is on the cusp of yet another change. While you’ll notice some minor differences in this issue, next month you will see real changes in the design and substance of Mobile Enterprise. We’re honing our focus on the key areas of field service, mobile CRM, the supply chain, the growing importance of RFID, the next generations of wireless communications and the infrastructure tying it all together. We’re excited about the changes we’re in the process of making, and we hope you’ll be thrilled with the result.
Until then, please be sure to check out this month’s cover story, in which writer Arielle Emmett explores the human side of mobile technology. Is it easy enough to use? Former Staff Editor Teresa von Fuchs educates us on e-learning and its role in training remote workers. Adam Brickman shows us how one company struck it rich with its mobile solution, and former Web Editor Rita Kushnir tells us why Coke is It.
