Sendia Joins Siebel SMB Alliance Program as Software Partner

Sendia Corporation, a leading developer and provider of wireless enterprise solutions that extend desktop applications to mobile workers, today announced that it has joined the Siebel SMB Alliance Program as a Software Partner. Siebel Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: SEBL), is a leading provider of business applications software. Under the terms of this alliance, Sendia will work directly with Siebel to wirelessly enable both Siebel CRM OnDemand and Siebel CRM Professional Edition, giving Siebel customers the opportunity to access and edit their data from popular wireless handheld devices such as the RIM BlackBerry or the palmOne Treo. Today at an event in San Francisco, Siebel Systems unveiled a comprehensive strategy focused on enabling small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) to achieve measurable business results with Siebel Systems’ front office solutions. Through a unique combination of proven CRM offerings, a customer-centric go-to-market model and a value-added partner ecosystem, Siebel Systems’ SMB strategy addresses the specific sales, marketing and service needs of SMBs. With this announcement, Siebel will begin preliminary use of Sendia’s innovative wireless handheld technology to extend critical enterprise data to Siebel users who routinely work outside of the office. Sendia’s technology is available for both on-premise or hosted environments and is custom-tailored to meet the requirements of Siebel’s SMB customers. Sendia’s Wireless Salesforce Automation for Siebel allows users to remotely access and edit data for specific fields such as Accounts, Leads, Opportunities and Service Requests. Field salespeople can receive and respond to leads immediately, reducing trips back to the office. As with all of its product offerings, Sendia’s Wireless SFA for Siebel is fast, easy to use and works in or out of wireless coverage areas. Sendia’s own Class 4 transport system ensures data remains secure, and its management console gives enterprises the power to deploy, manage and custom configure their wireless solution to best meet their needs. Sendia’s solution for Siebel CRM OnDemand enables SMBs to deploy any number of users in a very short period of time using minimal IT resources and with low up-front costs. It also enables large enterprises currently using Siebel to get smaller divisions or newly acquired entities up and running quickly with wireless access to the parent company’s CRM data. Sendia’s technology solutions offer SMBs the opportunity to take advantage of the productivity gains wireless technology affords without the high costs usually associated with configuring and managing an installed base of wireless users. “Sendia has formed an alliance with Siebel Systems to provide small and medium-sized businesses with the technology they need to wirelessly enable their mobile workforce, giving these users a critical advantage over their competitors,” said Andy DeMari, co-founder and CEO of Sendia. “Given Siebel’s strong record of CRM leadership and its commitment to this market, we are pleased to work with them and together drive strong business value for our customers.” “Siebel Systems’ alliance with Sendia enables us to answer our customers’ call for a highly functional, yet straightforward wireless enterprise solution on the handheld that delivers high value to the user, while preserving the quality of the Siebel CRM experience,” said Catherine Cherubino, Vice President, Channels and Alliances, OnDemand and SMB at Siebel Systems. “Through this joint solution, our SMB customers will enjoy significant improvements in productivity, efficiency and sales revenue.” Siebel Systems customers represent a substantial share of the CRM market. By teaming with Sendia, Siebel is now able to provide its SMB customer base with a powerful tool for improving sales revenue and gaining a true competitive advantage. Providing field-level access to data helps sales organizations to be more responsive to customer needs and results in greater adoption of CRM within the organization. It is also an effective tool for sales managers as it elevates their visibility into the sales pipeline, resulting in greater accountability by field sales people and more accurate sales projections. In order to provide an even wider range of front-office solutions for SMBs, Siebel Systems is extending its industry-leading alliance program to companies who have complementary solutions tailored for SMBs. Siebel Systems forms alliances that deliver tangible business benefits for its customers. With more than 250 partners worldwide, Siebel Systems has built an award-winning alliance program that enables its customers to work with consulting, software and platform companies that have demonstrated proficiencies and complementary offerings with Siebel Systems. As part of its SMB Alliance Program, Siebel Systems has recruited software partners that are specifically focused on the business requirements of SMBs, and is working with these technology and service providers to provide complete, integrated offerings for its customers. By choosing Siebel SMB solutions and validated partner solutions, Siebel Systems’ SMB customers can pursue a best-in-class strategy incorporating a variety of tailored offerings that are optimized for their business requirements. The Siebel Validation Program applies rigorous technical scrutiny to evaluate the integration of third-party solution with Siebel business applications. Integrations that meet the strict testing criteria are validated and documented by the Siebel Validation Program. Sendia has committed to submitting Wireless SFA for Siebel for validation in the first quarter of 2005.
