Crisp Wireless, a leading provider of next-generation mobile content management and wireless delivery software applications, and Global Wireless Entertainment Inc. (GWE), a world leader in Mobile Entertainment Marketing (management and promotion of brands and celebrities in mobile media), today announced that they have entered into a partnership in which the companies will provide end-to-end development, management and promotion of wireless portals and content for a wide list of celebrities and world-class brands.

Crisp is a recognized leader in creating easy-to-use, visually compelling mobile sites portals for media and entertainment companies on a variety of networks, including work with NBC Olympics, Sony BMG, and IMG. GWE has developed and implemented mobile marketing strategies for some of the world’s leading sports celebrities and brands, including Pele, Muhammad Ali, Callaway Golf, and Mario Andretti in addition to many others.

“The wireless consumer is drawn to branded entertainment and celebrities, and the combined experience of GWE and Crisp in this industry demonstrates that we can deliver engaging mobile experiences for some of the best-known personalities,” said Darrin Hegemier, chief marketing officer of GWE. “Just as television was popularized through the allure of celebrities, such as Milton Berle and Sid Caesar, who knew how to work the new medium, the mobile entertainment industry will heed the call of celebrities who want to maintain direct-to-consumer relationships in the most personal way – through the mobile phone.”

Through increased interest in carrier content decks, and the proliferation of independent “off-deck” mobile content portals, the appetite for branded entertainment experiences is gaining amongst consumers, adding to the overall growth in mobile content. The London-based analyst firm Informa Telecoms & Media predicts that the global market for mobile entertainment will be worth $42.8 billion by 2010.

“We have seen the explosion of sports-related wireless content, and the stickiness of these applications requires solid brand positioning, as well as development know-how to quickly position celebrity content on carrier decks,” said Boris Fridman, CEO of Crisp Wireless. “The GWE mobile portfolio encompasses some of the leading sports and entertainment names in the world, and we look forward to mobilizing big names for mobile consumers.”

Crisp enables development of revenue-generating mobile portals and downloadable applications for advertising, media, sports, and entertainment clients, including industry-first experiences for music, film, and television clients. Crisp Wireless’ mLogic™ Media 3G product provides seamless content management and delivery capabilities through a visually powerful, intuitive interface. The server component of mLogic Media 3G provides subscription and billing functionality, content management, automated image and video formatting as well as advanced user management.

Other sport legends and global brands working with GWE include the Harlem Globetrotters, Reef and Fox Racing. GWE has partnered with carriers, messaging providers, application developers and game developers, including Superscape, to usher these branded superstars and global companies into the wireless marketplace.
