"Friendly's has been experiencing end-user response time issues with our satellite network, and WebRider will improve the end-user experience as we further evaluate our networking options," said Peter Palumbo, Senior IT Director at Friendly's. "Even with upgrades to our network, the acceleration offered by WebRider will enhance whatever option we undertake."

"WebRider is a natural fit for environments like Friendly's," said Gordon Dorworth, Stampede Technologies' President and CEO. "The latency issues faced by customers makes using today's Web-based enterprise applications tedious. However, WebRider's acceleration and optimization techniques provide an improved and consistent end-user experience, and, most importantly, improved productivity."

WebRider is a two-sided hardware/software acceleration solution for maximizing performance and bandwidth utilization of Web-based enterprise applications. WebRider employs performance-enhancing technologies that no other products have, because Stampede Technologies holds the patents for them: TurboStreaming, SSL termination, intelligent cache validation, image transformation, content-aware streaming and adaptive compression bring significant performance enhancement. These optimization technologies support both HTTP/HTTPS (Layer 7) applications as well as most other TCP (Layer 5) applications, greatly enhancing the flexibility and usability of a WebRider deployment.
