Sprint Expands Enterprise Mobile Integration Solution With Tango Networks' UC Support
PRESS RELEASE
Sprint (NYSE: S) today announced the support of Tango Networks' Mobile UC solution, Abrazo, to enhance its Mobile Integration solution, enabling business customers to leverage the productivity and cost benefits of IP telephony, unified communications and wireless mobility.

Sprint has the assets to uniquely enable customers to fully integrate their Sprint CDMA phones with the unified communications environment via Sprint Mobile Integration.

In addition to supporting Cisco Unified Communications Manager and Avaya Communications Manager, Tango Networks' Abrazo significantly expands the portfolio of PBX solutions that can benefit from Sprint Mobile Integration. An innovative, IP-based fixed mobile convergence (FMC) solution, Sprint Mobile Integration allows enterprises to extend the capabilities of a PBX or UC system to their employees' Sprint mobile phone.

Additional benefits include:
- Significantly enhanced employee productivity and call management by tightly integrating mobility into existing and new IP PBX and unified communications deployments.
- Easy-to-use capabilities, such as single number, single voice mail, and a common dialing plan.
- Reduction in total expenses to support end users by eliminating many of the costs incurred with traditional FMC solutions and potentially eliminating underused desk phones.

"Increasing employee accessibility and productivity while better managing costs are top priorities of our customers," said Paget Alves, president of Business Markets Group, Sprint. "Sprint's relationship with Tango Networks enhances our ability to fully enable mobile unified communications, allowing employees to work virtually anytime, anywhere. We are confident that our collaboration will help achieve these goals while enhancing our customers' overall communications experience."

Sprint Mobile Integration, along with SIP Trunking and Global MPLS, is the foundation for enabling unified communications solutions. Last year, Sprint announced how it is collaborating with industry leaders to enable UC to help businesses and government agencies increase productivity and customer satisfaction while driving down costs.

This year, Sprint earned a #1 ranking for Voice Services Satisfaction and a matching #1 ranking for Data Services Satisfaction among enterprise business customers – outperforming rivals AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile. The rankings were part of a survey of business customers conducted by the leading industry analyst firm, Yankee Group, and Mobile Enterprise Magazine. Sprint also recently received a Nemertes 2009 Pilothouse award for MPLS Services, ranking highest overall in each evaluation category – value, customer service and technology.

"With convergence, the mobile phone becomes an extension of a company's business communications infrastructure," said Alastair Westgarth, chief executive officer and president at Tango Networks. "By adding Tango Networks' Abrazo to Sprint Mobile Integration, Sprint is providing its entire enterprise customer base the means to transparently extend their unified communications to their Sprint mobile phone."

Tango Networks' Abrazo products give telecommunications providers the competitive advantage to grow market share and increase revenues by tightly integrating enterprise customers with the mobile network based on its unique federated architecture. The Abrazo enables any Sprint CDMA mobile phone to become an extension of the corporate PBX or UC system on the mobile network. This functionality enables businesses to gain control over mobile usage and to offer superior features to promote productivity.

Sprint Mobile Integration is available through its Business Markets Group (BMG), which is composed of sales, support, marketing and operations personnel solely dedicated to enterprise, small and medium-sized business and public sector customers. BMG delivers wireless, wireline and converged solutions for companies, drawing on a dependable nationwide 3G mobile broadband network, 4G capabilities that are well ahead of Sprint's competition, the fastest national push-to-talk network,* and a comprehensive solutions portfolio of devices and applications.
